Termination of MM2H
If an MM2H applicant wishes to surrender their MM2H visa and withdraw their MM2H Fixed Deposit funds before returning to their home country, they have the option to terminate their MM2H either in Malaysia or from abroad. However, it is important to first contact the bank holding the MM2H Fixed Deposit to confirm if the funds can be withdrawn remotely without the need to be physically present at a branch in Malaysia. Additionally, it is recommended to obtain the bank officer's name and contact details, including their email address, to assist with the withdrawal process in case any additional documents are required by the bank.
It is important to note that all banks in Malaysia operate under their own private and confidential rules, which cannot be influenced by any third party, such as an MM2H agency or sponsor, in accordance with their Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Therefore, any bank-related matters must be handled directly between the bank and its customers.
